Ok my beautiful sunday is coming to an end just one more hour to go and then it will be the start of Maniac monday. I was completely idle this weekend except for cooking and eating didnt do much. Didnt even do our normal dose of badminton. I didnt even read the book i was reading through the week..coz every book i get hooked too only when the real story starts..and esp after reading one of Jeffrey Archers creations or P.G Wodehouse,it is a bit of a turn off reading a Dan brown or John grisham the class and standard is denitely missing in the latter two. But J.K Rowling rocks my world of literary exploration. She amazes me. Using quite a banal element like magic she has given it a whole new dimension. She has created a world in itself and a host of new vocabularies which to my knowledege didnt exist before i read Harry Potter. Some interesting words like muggles, Hippogriffs, snitch, seeker (all Quidditch terms which might not entirely be out of her mind),Horcruxes,Azkabaan, Dementors many many more words.. and the she has sustained the interest in all the seven books..and order of the phoenix and goblet of fire are quite huge. Though the story is about kids i am not sure if its just for kids.. but there is something in it for everybody to relate to and enjoy. I ve enjoyed the series immensely. my favorite to date is Prisoner of Azkabaan.

I second you Krithi. The Harry Potter is not just story for kids. It has message for all all walks of life. Harry Potter often has to make decisions which will bring good to his society rather than to just himself. Values of Friendships, The reverence for teachers, courage to face uncertainty, to forgive and forget, seeking wisdom. the list never ends.
